Ian Curtis Publication.x

I've put together this document/publication, as a sort of collection of all the pieces I have produced over the last few months.
It features letterpress samples, typewriter, letraset text, screen-printed images and etchings.
I decided to produce a large scale publication, in two parts and two sizes.
The 1st is A2 double sided colour inkjet printed and halved to make A3 and
the 2nd part is A3 coloured card b&w inkjet printed and again halved to make A4.
I decided to give producing a publication another go on in-design and print it inkjet
rather than photocopying. I like the publication, especially how the two different
sizes and colour of paper slot in together. However there are a lot of things i would change...
for example I think all of the images and text would work better full bleed,
rather than centred on the page, but i guess this is something I will learn through
more experience of InDesign. Publication is hand-bound.

B&W Design Brief, re-edited.x

Unfortunately my tutor didn't like anybody's B&W entry, all 48 of them &
he gave 5 of us (myself being one) the opportunity to re-do our designs.
Apparently my first effort was too 'christmassy & i went into paperchase mode'
With more thought put into it, i needed to think outside of the box.
& I came up with a concertina fold card.

Double sided 16pp concertina fold, christmas card using wood block letterpress type,
hand-printed in metalic inks.
The card has the illusion that it never ends, an ampersand is followed by

 the name of a reindeer,
followed by an ampersand followed by a reindeer and so on,
wherever you 1st read the card it will bring you back to where you started,
a never ending reindeer loop!

Hmmmssss i still haven't heard anything back from my tutor OR B&W regarding the brief.x
